BKSA Level 1- introduction to kite surfing.
3 hours, 2:1 £120pp. 1:1 £165.
- Site assessment.
- Basic kite skills with a small trainer kite.
- Kite rigging launching, landing, relaunch and basic flying of a LEI (Kitesurf kite)
- Body dragging and generating power.
- Directional body dragging and self rescue.
BKSA Level 2- Introduction to the board.
3 hours. 2:1 £120pp. 1:1 £165.
- Theory on tides, weather, site and risk assessment.
- Introduction to the board and board start techniques.
- First board starts and technique.
- Independent kiteboarding and riding with others.
Coaching sessions on improving technique
1:1 £90 for 2hrs or £110 with equipment hire.
- Riding upwind.
- Basic jumping technique.
- Equipment and kite tuning
- Advanced launching, re launching, landing and rescue techniques
- Toe side riding, transitions and basic rotations
coaching sessions are only available after you have completed level 2.
Supervised Equipment Hire
£45 Per Hour
We have the latest equipment from Cabrinha available to hire, kites from 5m to 17m, freeride, and light wind twin tips, use of wetsuits, harnesses, helmets and BAs are included in the price if needed. Minimum hire is 2hrs.
You have to be 18 or over, a fully independent kiter and have 3rd party insurance cover from the BKSA.
